(picture c/o Stroller Strides website)
The class was held in a public park, and about 9 or 10 other moms showed up. The picture above was pretty much how it looked like when I went - jogging strollers, some double jogging strollers, moms in tank tops, little babies, toddlers, you get the idea. The only thing this picture doesn't convey is the heat!
The class was a mixture of walking while pushing the stroller (a few moms jogged), and then stopping for some training with resistance bands at different spots in the park. It lasted about an hour, and then the children got out of their strollers and played for a little while.
They had water balloons for them to play with this particular time.
Clara liked staring at the bucket of water.
Overall, I definitely got a good workout, although it seemed like there was less "striding" than I anticipated. More time seemed to be spent with the resistance bands. Which was good, since that's the part that I don't "find time" to do at home. Clara did pretty well, considering she doesn't sit in a stroller all that often. I think it would be a great way to meet other moms, socialize with other children, and stay active.
